ITMA 2015 Review – Part 3
ITMA continues to get high marks
Markus Heinis, president of Genkinger-HUBTEX, Inc., said he could not be more pleased with ITMA 2015, especially as it relates to traffic from North American visitors.
“I thought it was a very good ITMA – very busy,” said Heinis, whose Greer, S.C.-based firm represents Genkinger-HUBTEX GmbH in this hemisphere. “I personally was surprised of the many visitors from North America. I knew that some were coming, but much more came – great! It goes without saying that decision makers were there and some projects came up that we did not know about before – again, great!”

At ITMA, Navis TubeTex of Lexington, N.C., announced that N.R. Group of Bangladesh officially signed a sales agreement for a complete line of Navis TubeTex machinery.
N.R. Group will install a Pak-Nit e3+ Tubular Compactor, a TM-100 Open-Width Compactor, a Master-Nit II Relax Dryer and the new SCS Spirality Correction System to enhance its production technologies in Bangladesh.
N.R. Group is one of the leading knit fabric finishers in Bangladesh. The decision to buy Navis TubeTex was based on the advanced technology and excellent after sales support that Navis TubeTex is well known for globally, according to Navis TubeTex President & CEO Will Motchar.

PSP Marketing named Monforts' U.S./Canada rep
PSP Marketing of Charlotte, N.C., has been appointed the new sales and service partner of A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG in the U.S. and Canada, Monforts announced here during ITMA.
A. Monforts Textilmaschinen, a Germany-based textile finishing machine manufacturer, had previously been represented by AMC Corporation of Charlotte, N.C.
Visitor quality 'impressive' at Klüber stand
Among companies reporting an excellent ITMA was Klüber Lubrication, the Munich-based manufacturer of lubricants for almost every textile segment.
“The quality of visitors was impressive,” said Charles Poston, market manager-Textiles. “Many times all our tables were full with potential or existing customers from around the world. We took more than 700 leads worldwide.”
With spinning mills in Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka and Turkey, Indonesian company Indorama Synthetics is one of the top 10 manufacturers in the industry. Zinser has been supplying Indorama with ring spinning machines since the 1980s.
The company has now commissioned its 100,000th Zinser spindle, a 2Impact FX compact spindle.
This milestone was marked at a small ceremony at ITMA 2015 in Milan. Dr. Martin Folini, CEO of Saurer and Saurer Schlafhorst, and Henri Wiggers, regional sales & service director of Schlafhorst Zinser, presented the Golden Zinser Spindle to Indorama.

Harrell Ligon, president of 53-year-old Lang Ligon & Co. of Greenville, S.C., predicted this would be the best ITMA in recent years. And now, after the fact, he stands by his comments made to eTC in September.
“(ITMA provided) overall positive results, including what I heard from other exhibitors,” said Ligon, who has attended 12 ITMAs dating back to 1971 in Paris. “The quality of visitors was good. “The fact that many visitors wanted to move forward with trials means they came to ITMA looking for new things and solutions to problems.”
