ITMA 2015 Review – Part 4
More exhibitors return feeling 'ITMA-tized'
Representatives from Zimmer Austria in Kufstein and Klagenfurt and Zimmer America of Spartanburg, S.C., saw great interest in its COLARIS-3 digital printing system at ITMA, according to Roland Zimmer, president of Zimmer America, Spartanburg, S.C.
The system covers textile digital printing as well as three-dimensional substrates such as towels, Polartec fabrics and floorcovering/carpet applications.
Colaris-3 is the third generation of the high-performance digital textile printer using up to 64 FUJIFILM Dimatix Starfire heads with ink circulation system.

If ITMA 2015 is any indication, investment activity in various parts of the world should be expected in the immediate future, according to Buddy Humphrey, vice president of Sales, Morrison Textile Machinery Corp., Fort Lawn, S.C.
“We saw excellent industry attendance from most corners of the world,” he said. “The level of interest in our new technology and also for capacity expansions exceeded our expectations. Owners as well as technical people were on hand.
“There is little doubt that 2016 and 2017 will be very active,” he added. “Many visitors already had land and building projects underway for new plant space.”

Karl Mayer GmbH welcomes guests from 77 countries
Germany-based Karl Mayer GmbH, which featured one of the most aesthetically pleasing stands at ITMA, enjoyed a high-traffic, successful show, according to the president of Karl Mayer North America.
“Our booth was very, very busy all the time with visitors from all over the world,” said Tony Hooimeijer. “The very active markets seemed to be Europe, with Italy as No. 1, of course, along with Turkey, India and adjacent South-Asian countries. But we also had a steady stream of visitors from the Americas, North and South.”
Picanol: ITMA 2015 may be
'one of best ever'
Cyril Guerin, president of Picanol of America, Inc., repeated a mantra heard frequently in the 11 halls of this year’s ITMA.
“ITMA 2015 was an outstanding event for us,” he said. “The quantity and quality of visitors in our booth was beyond our expectations. ITMA is always a special event and, while it is too early to conclude the true impact of ITMA Milano, we are very hopeful that this could turn out to be one of the best ITMAs ever.”
A staff member from PAF Sales, Inc., the Greensboro, N.C.-based North American representative for Italy-based BTSR International S.p.A, said he could not be happier with ITMA.
“The show was very well attended by U.S. customers,” said Scott Yates, PAF’s general manager. “I was very pleased. The return on investment from sending three people (from PAF) will be obtained quickly.”
Overall, the quality of visitors to the BTSR booth was also extraordinary, he added.
“From my experience, I saw the decision makers for each of my customers,” said Yates, who said he saw mostly visitors from the Eastern U.S. “
