“Zimmer’s booth definitely saw several interested groups from U.S. actively looking and shopping for finishing and printing machinery,” Zimmer said. “U.S. attendance was light, as expected, but some companies such as Milliken, Shaw, Mohawk and Sage, along with several privately held companies, brought larger delegations.”
More serious interest was seen at this ITMA than in 2011 in Barcelona, Zimmer reported.

MILAN – Representatives from Zimmer Austria in Kufstein and Klagenfurt and Zimmer America of Spartanburg, S.C., saw great interest in its COLARIS-3 digital printing system at ITMA, according to Roland Zimmer, president of Zimmer America, Spartanburg, S.C.
The system covers textile digital printing as well as three-dimensional substrates such as towels, Polartec fabrics and floorcovering/carpet applications.
Colaris-3 is the third generation of the high-performance digital textile printer using up to 64 FUJIFILM Dimatix Starfire heads with ink circulation system. Print heads are available in three models with drop sizes from 10 to 250 picoliter and a native resolution of 400x400 dpi.
Interest was spread across the Zimmer offerings, which included conventional rotary screen printing, digital textile printing, Chromojet digital carpet patterning, as well as MAGNO-ROLL wet fabric finishing and MAGNOJET foam finishing for textiles, Zimmer said.
