Since its founding nearly 50 years ago, Morrison Textile Machinery has designed, produced and serviced premier textile dyeing and finishing machinery for fabric producers worldwide. The company showcased the industry’s first significant advancement in rope washing with its patented Peak Washer range.

The Peak Washer is an integral advancement of the highly successful Spectrum 250 Indigo Rope dye ranges, but this technology may also be retrofit to previously installed rope dye ranges, Humphrey said – and during the show, the company did quote Peak Washers for retrofit, he added.

Morrison also featured the MDS single source systems for Integrated Shrinking Ranges, Indigo Rope Dye Ranges, the MDS 450 Ball Warper with programmable Servo Driven Traverse, the MDS 550 ReBeamer with Sheet Strummer and Reverse Drive Accumulator and Sanfor ( S8) Shrinking Ranges with AutoGRIND™ and GrindVAC™. MOC (Morrison on Call), a web-based remote access system, is standard supply on all MDS Ranges.

Morrison shared the booth with its partner APJeT, Inc., a Raleigh, N.C.-based provider of patented atmospheric plasma technology.

“This was probably the strongest ITMA since Munich in ’07,” Humphrey said. “Barcelona (in 2011) was a very good venue, but hit a slower capital machinery cycle.”

MILAN – If ITMA 2015 is any indication, investment activity in various parts of the world should be expected in the immediate future, according to Buddy Humphrey, vice president of Sales, Morrison Textile Machinery Co., Fort Lawn, S.C.

“We saw excellent industry attendance from most corners of the world,” he said. “The level of interest in our new technology and also for capacity expansions exceeded our expectations. Owners as well as technical people were on hand.

“There is little doubt that 2016 and 2017 will be very active,” he added. “Many visitors already had land and building projects underway for new plant space.”

Turkey registered the highest number of visitors to the booth, Humphrey said.

“India also put in a very strong showing, as well as Pakistan,” he said. “But we enjoy this event for the customers that come in from the other textile countries such as Tunisia, Egypt, Mexico and Peru and the technical textile producers in Europe.”
