ITMA 2015 Review – Part 6
Show superlatives still streaming in
The recent ITMA exhibition in Milan was one of the most successful exhibitions ever in the 70-year history of Reiners + Fürst (R+F), the company reported.
More than 450 visitors at the R+F booth mark a record. But more important is the large number of discussions with high professionals who showed great interest in the latest developments of the Germany-based company.
During the show, R+F presented the next generation of TURBO chromium coated rings and a selection of enhanced ring travellers. R+F reported a three-times higher order intake during ITMA than expected.

Gary Romanstine, sales director of Marzoli International, Spartanburg, S.C., the U.S. arm of Italy-based short-staple spinning machinery supplier Marzoli, called ITMA “very positive” and “energetic” for machinery suppliers in general.
“Our booth was swamped with customers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Mexico and Asia,” he said. “The turnout was exceptional and translated into sales to customers from Argentina, Turkey and Uzbekistan – although I was a little disappointed in the number of U.S. companies that were not present.”
Romanstine added that Marzoli management did an outstanding job of presenting the company as being focused on the future by introducing its own roving transport system, as well as the innovative Marzoli Remote Maintenance System and its central mill management system YarNet.

Stäubli welcomes thousands to stand
At ITMA, Stäubli presented 13 novelties, all of which offer greater advantages and are aligned with the needs and expectations of the market, the company said.
Industry representatives and other visitors from around the world responded with great interest, the company reported. For Stäubli, a leading manufacturer of high-speed textile machinery since 1892, ITMA was an excellent occasion to present its latest innovations to the public.
Oerlikon's Manmade Fibers Segment places large orders
Based on latest technologies presented at ITMA in Milan, Oerlikon’s Manmade Fibers Segment said it received a number of large orders totaling more than CHF 50 million for its Oerlikon Neumag staple fiber plant engineering technologies.
The orders were placed by key customers in Europe and Asia, outside China, for the production of staple fibers. These plant solutions will be delivered to customers over the next two years. The signing of the orders took place after ITMA, the largest textile industry trade fair, which was held in November in Milan, where Oerlikon presented its latest technologies, including those for staple fiber production.
For American Dornier, the subsidiary of Lindauer DORNIER GmbH of Germany that represents the company in the Americas, ITMA was exceptionally good, according to its executive vice president and chief operating officer.
“It definitely exceeded what we expected,” Peter Brust, told eTC in the latter part of the show. “We’ve had high-quality customers, great conversations and many, many newcomers from all over our sales territory – North America and South America. It was quite amazing to see so many people come in the booth, and we were quite satisfied with the number of Americans.”
Dornier displayed a multitude of innovations and new machine concepts for particularly sophisticated fabrics. Under the motto “The Green Machine,” the company presented comprehensive solutions for sustainable technologies.
