GREENSBORO, N.C. – Burlington, a division of the International Textile Group, Inc. (ITG), will challenge you to equip yourself with the next generation of XALT™, Xtreme Allweather Laminate Technology at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Show.

The show will take place January 7-10 in Salt Lake City.

When it's just you and Mother Nature, you better be prepared – she can be unpredictable. Fortunately, you have a choice in outerwear. Offering superior performance and protection, XALT™ fabrics match the elements at their own game, with technological innovations that are designed to help you endure Mother Nature – no matter what the conditions.

Originally introduced in the mid-1990s, Burlington's XALT™ technology revolutionized the waterproof, breathable market. XALT™ performance is back today with a more advanced film and adhesive technology, paired with innovative Burlington fabric designs, including yarn innovations, Plaidology™ and stretch heather constructions.

"You asked for it and now it's back," said Nelson Bebo, vice president of Burlington Performance Fabrics. "As an early pioneer of these technologies, Burlington continues to stretch the limits of innovation. Our experience, heritage and past successes are brought together as we relaunch the next generation of XALT™, offering a better option in the world of waterproof, breathable laminate technology."

The XALT™ group consists of three core components – specially engineered fabrics, breathable film technology and Burlington's Durepel® Plus water-repellent finish. The design possibilities are almost limitless – all while maintaining superior XALT™ performance.

Lifestyle ready XALT™ fabrics protect from the harsh conditions on the mountain, yet offer fashionable comfort for an evening dinner. With exceptional protection, breathability and durability, XALT™ is the performance composite fabric system engineered to take on Mother Nature – and win.
