ROCK HILL, S.C. – Need a feel-good story for the holidays? Look no further than here, home of Springs Creative Products Group.

The company, which develops textile-related products in fabric, crafts & accessories, home & lifestyle and and technical & specialty fabrics, donated branded fabrics to Quilts for Kids, which created 120 quilts from the fabric. The non-profit provides quilts to comfort children with life-threatening illnesses and children of abuse.

The donated quilts were delivered to kids at Florida Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Fla.

“I personally thank you for making a difference in the lives of these very sick kids,” wrote Linda Ayre, founding president of the Fairless Hills, Pa.-based organization, in a letter to Springs Creative. “We took care of so many different departments that day. It was inspiring. The mothers hugged us and the dads cried to see their children smile when they’ve been sad for so long. I told them it was made possible because of your fabric.”

“The faces on the children when we came in with the quilts was incredible – crying one moment and smiling the next,” she continued. “We literally turned tears into smiles that day!”

The Disney-branded quilts were the biggest hit among the children, Ayre wrote.

The NBA’s MPBP (Mother’s of Professional Ball Players) helped deliver the products to the kids.
