LEXINGTON, N.C. – Navis TubeTex, a leading supplier of high-technology finishing machinery to the global textile industry, announced that Joe Okey Jr., formerly president of American Monforts, has joined the company’s Marshall & Williams (MW) stenter business unit.

 

Marshall & Williams has produced stenters for more than 95 years. The company was acquired by Navis TubeTex in 2000. The company has made significant investments in the Marshall & Williams product line in recent years, including launching the new “N-Dura” model.

 

“Marshall & Williams has an outstanding reputation in the stenter business and, with the launch of the new N-Dura model, the business is growing very rapidly,” said Okey, a past chairman of the American Textile Machinery Association (ATMA). “I am very excited to join the team at Navis TubeTex and contribute to the success of the MW product line.”

 

Added David Russell, director of the MW stenter business unit, “Joe Okey has a great reputation in the industry for his integrity and knowledge of the finishing process. We are fortunate to get someone with his experience on our team.”

Navis TubeTex President and CEO Will Motchar said the company’s stenter business is “exploding right now,” particularly in the technical and nonwoven areas.

 

“I know that Joe will make a great addition to our team and help us grow this important business unit,” Motchar said. “His confidence in our strategy and capabilities speaks volumes to our customers.”
