LOS ANGELES – Ram Sareen, head coach & founder of Tukatech, Inc., was recently honored by the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ) 2017 Fashion Awards with the award for “Technology Innovation.”
Tukatech representatives, along with other influential fashion industry leaders, gathered at the elite City Club in downtown Los Angeles on November 29 for the event.
The extravagant penthouse gala boasted a list of LA’s "who's who" from designers and brands, to financial resources and technology. LABJ recognized these businesses and individuals through 11 diverse award categories.
"Over 80 percent of California's fashion industry is making amazing strides in fast fashion using our technology,” Sareen said. “More than 90 percent of all universities and fashion schools teach product development with TUKAcad and TUKA3D, and even some high schools have incorporated the software into their curriculum. The reward for our hard work is much appreciated."
The LABJ Fashion Awards acknowledge the top apparel companies that drive tremendous economic growth in the region and make Southern California a major force in the business of fashion. The companies awarded with this prestigious honor have been instrumental in transforming Los Angeles into a hub of fashion influence and innovation.
Founded in 1995 by Sareen, Tukatech offers award-winning 2D pattern design software, automated marker making software, 3D fashion design software, as well as garment plotters, and automatic spreaders and cutters for production.
