AALBORG, Denmark – Fibertex Nonwovens A/S, based here, has acquired Non Woven Solutions, based in Ingleside, Ill.

 

Non Woven Solutions manufactures and sells needlepunch nonwovens in various product areas of the U.S. market. Fibertex Nonwovens currently has only a limited presence in this market.

 

Establishing a presence in the United States will give Fibertex Nonwovens unique opportunities to grow its sales of value-added products for the composites and automotive industries in particular, but the acquisition is also expected to have a positive effect on sales in other product areas such as products for wound care, filtration, bedding and construction, it said.

 

Fibertex Nonwovens is an innovative business with strong ties to the automotive industry, and by joining forces with NWS’s current production and customer base, it will have good opportunities for continuing the successful development of the North American market, the company said.

 

The product range of both companies will remain unchanged, and Non Woven Solutions will for some time continue operating under its existing name.
