WELLFORD, S.C. ­– Leigh Delaware Holdings, the parent company of Leigh Fibers and ICE Recycling, has announced the launch of its newest company, SmartVista, LLC.

 

SmartVista is based on the business premise that new products and engineered solutions can be developed by repurposing materials that would otherwise be sent to landfills. Presently, the company’s first products are focused on sorbents for spill remediation. Now, new products and services will be integrated into a wide range of other new applications providing technical and sustainable answers for a diverse range of industries.

 

“We are excited about the opportunity to continue to expand our influence in the world of sustainable solutions based on our rich heritage in this space,” said Don Bockoven, president and CEO of Leigh Fibers. “SmartVista will allow us the opportunity to provide new products and solutions in markets beyond textiles and manufacturing.”

 

Leigh Fibers, ICE Recycling and SmartVista are operated as sister companies, each focusing on sustainable strategies and solutions that create a greener environment.

 

Leigh Delaware Holdings is owned by the Lehner family of Boston, Mass. The Lehner family has demonstrated its personal commitment to environmentally sustainable solutions since 1922.

 

For nearly 100 years, Leigh has manufactured, traded and reprocessed fibers and polymers worldwide. Through sustainable product engineering, its branded products and specialty fibers they have provided many industries with unique solutions to their specific problems. Since its beginning, Leigh has diverted more than 14 billion pounds of textile waste and byproducts from landfills and is currently active in 25 countries around the world.
