Atlas Material Testing Technology

 

Atlas Material Testing Technology of Mt. Prospect, Ill., USA, a global producer of light exposure and weathering testing instruments, will showcase instruments for accelerated lightfastness and weathering testing that provide the simulation to a product's end-use environment at ITMA (Hall 7, Stand H113).

 

Highlight products include the Xenotest® 440, a premium air-cooled accelerated weathering instrument that offers an array of options to meet global weathering and lightfastness testing requirements; and the Ci3000+ Weather-Ometer®, a well-established instrument that the company meets all internationally recognized standards for testing textile lightfastness.

 

Barbieri

 

First-time exhibitor Barbieri of Italy (Hall 7, Stand H119), a manufacturer of special color measuring devices for professional digital printing, will highlight the Spectro LFP and the SpectroPad, along with its Digital Output Control (DOC) software. The Spectro LFP, used in conjunction with an electrostatic sample holder, provides high-quality linearization and profiling, the company said. For any application requiring smaller charts, the SpectroPad is a manual, portable, strip-reading spectrophotometer. The DOC enables control of the entire printing process.

 

S.T.A. Branca Idealair

 

Branca Idealair (Hall 7, Stand H103) of Italy will present its newest precision air conditioning units for textile and other laboratories, along with textile testing instruments for quality control. Highlight products include several that are named for the test they conduct, including the Water Proof 35S testing instrument that determines the water proof or water resistance of fabrics; the Air Permeability 37S that determines the air permeability of fabrics; the Moisture Regain Test 70S that determines the moisture content, moisture gain and the merchant correction on materials according to reference standards; and the Precision Branca Idealair Air Conditioning unit that allows for consistent thermo-hygrometric values inside labs.

 

Thermetrics

 

Thermetrics, based in the U.S., designs and manufactures a wide range of advanced test instruments for measuring and evaluating the thermal characteristics of textiles, garments and dynamic thermal environments such as automobile, truck and aircraft interiors. The company’s line of thermal manikins, guarded hotplates and flame-test systems support all major test standards for measuring thermal properties, thermal protection, and thermal comfort.

 

The company returns to ITMA (Hall 7, Stand H108) with a product exhibition that includes a 26-zone Newton sweating thermal manikin system, a TPP thermal protection test device and a SGHP-8.2 (“skin model”) sweating guarded hotplate.

 

Forte Technology, Inc.

 

U.S.-based Forte, a producer of moisture measurement systems, will feature at ITMA (Hall 2, Stand E105) its Series 7000 System, which measures individual cones, spools, glass fiber rovings and tops/bumps, mainly for quality control purposes; and the Series 2000 System, which is installed inline to measure moisture and weight of bales and cartons or pallets of cones. 

 

Lenzing Instruments

 

Austria-based Lenzing Instruments, part of the Textechno Group, will emphasize at ITMA (Hall 2, Stand E109) its quality and process control equipment for testing staple fiber, filament, nonwovens and plastic film.

 

Top products include its PROMPT OLC for online color measurement of small and curved objects in motions, such as filament yarn; its PROMPT OLO, a new optical sensor that monitors mono- and multifilament yarn for typical defects and yarn characteristics; its INVISPEC system, which inspects aesthetical and physical defects on woven materials and fabrics; its RAPID 600 V, which measures filament yarn for the number of interlaces, node distances and tenacity; its DTI 600, which determines draw tension and elongation of filament yarn; its TST instruments, which offers automated and standardized thermal shrinkage testing of filament and yarn; and its Vibrodyn 500, a new version that determines tensile properties of single staple fibers.
