COLZATE, Italy – Itema S.p.A, a global provider of weaving machines, spare parts and services, this week is displaying its technology at two trade shows in the south of Turkey, OTM in Gaziantep and KTM in Kahramanmaras.

Itema, in partnership with Bilol agency, is exhibiting its best-selling rapier R9500 loom, which is celebrating two years since market launch. The loom was developed as a perfect match of top technological advancements to the specific weaving needs of customers worldwide, according to the company. Its overwhelming success is confirmed by the better-than-expected volume of repeat orders and by the impressive results during customer field trials, according to Itema.

One such customer trial was held at the nearby Lutuf Mensucat, a weaver of apparel fabrics, based in Kahramanmaras. The successful outcome of the trial led to several repeat orders and a total installation of more than 100 units of the R9500, Itema said.

Itema said it is strongly committed to investing in the Turkish market and has a long history of working closely with the support of its two agencies in the country, Bilol Mumessilik and Motex Modiano, in a long-standing partnership.

Itema, which announced positive results for the first half of 2014, with 12 percent year-over-year increase in sales, said it is the only manufacturer in the world to provide the top three shuttleless weft insertion technologies: rapier, airjet and projectile, an ample product portfolio and a commitment to continuous innovation.

“Itema is a leading actor in the textile industry in Turkey with many successful case histories in all the three weft insertion systems we provide,” Piero Colombelli, Itema’s sales & marketing representative of more than 20 years in the region, said on the occasion of Itema’s participation in the Turkey trade fairs. “One of Itema’s targets for the future is to be increasingly more present with our weaving machines in the Mediterranean Country.
