AIKEN, S.C. – AGY Holding Corp., a leading producer of specialty glass fibers, announced the appointment of Patrick J. Burns as president and CEO.

 

“I am pleased to welcome Pat to the AGY team,” said David Treadwell, chairman of the board of AGY Holding Corp. “His leadership and industry experience will be a great asset to the achievement of the strategic goals of AGY.”

 

Burn comes from Precision Fabrics Group, where he served for 16 years as chief financial officer and co-CEO, running the woven products group. He was instrumental in repositioning PFG as an innovative leader of specialty niche products in the textile industry. He also served as vice president of sales and marketing for the interior systems group of Lear Corporation, a Fortune 250 company serving the global automotive industry.

 

Burns currently sits on the board of directors of Wikoff Color Corporation. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and has an MBA from University of North Carolina.
