BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Kamber Narrow Fabric Machinery, LLC, a global trader in narrow fabric textile equipment, announced the appointment of Michael McGrath as president.

 

McGrath will oversee the company’s operations and sales, operating out of the Birmingham location. Mike Kamber, founder, will continue in a supporting role.

 

“Michael McGrath is a leader in our industry and an asset to Kamber,” Kamber said. “As president, McGrath will lead Kamber to new international markets while continuing to offer reliable products and services to our customers around the globe.

 

McGrath has been with Kamber since 2012, serving as vice president, where his primary responsibilities have included opening new markets and ensuring production efficiency and quality service. McGrath has 25 years of broad experience in all aspects of narrow fabric production. He is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and is a certified RABQSA lead auditor in ISO 9001-2008 and AS 9100-B 2009 quality management systems. McGrath speaks English, German, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish.

A trader in pre-owned and refurbished braiding, knitting and weaving machinery, the company currently has warehouses and shop facilities located in Birmingham, Ala., Changzhou, China and Dongguan, China that support their global business. The company offers appraisals and buys and sells used machines for all areas of narrow fabric production ranging from single machines to an entire plant operation.
