BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Fruit of the Loom has donated,000 pieces of essential clothing to residents in need, following the devastation brought by Hurricane Irma.
Basic clothing donations are desperately needed as Florida and the surrounding region continue to recover from this disaster.
Fruit of the Loom is sending three semi-trailers full of essential clothing items such as underwear, T-shirts and sweatpants to Orlando for distribution to residents in need throughout Florida and impacted Southeastern states.
The products departed Fruit of the Loom distribution centers in Palmetto, S.C., and the company’s headquarters of Bowling Green, Ky., to arrive in Orlando. A third truck from Montgomery, Ala., also arrived in Orlando for distribution.
Truck Carrier First Coast Alabama is contributing to this relief effort, providing free freight services for the Fruit of the Loom deliveries, as well as the deliveries sent to Houston in the previous weeks, saving nearly $7,000.
