LYNNWOOD, Wash. – Warm Products, Inc., a manufacturer nonwoven materials and quilt batting, plans to invest $4.9 million to expand its manufacturing plant and distribution center in Hendersonville, N.C.

The company, based here, said the expansion will add at least 10 jobs to the operation.

“The quantity of people there is probably minimal at the beginning,” Ron Stafford, EVP and COO, told BlueRidgeNow.com. “We intend to have four lines in that building, and each line takes 2.5 people. Plus, we have shipping, warehousing and possibly converting in that building, which will require even more folks. So we'll be doing some hiring.”

The expansion is needed due to growing demand for its products, which go into bedding, furniture and aerospace components, as well as insulation and filtration devices, he added.

The Warm Company has manufacturing and distribution facilities in Hendersonville and Elma, Wash.
