TOLLAND, Conn. – Gerber Technology, the world leader in integrated software and automation solutions for the apparel and industrial markets, announced that AccuMark® is now available as a monthly subscription plan. The plan is offered in three-month subscription increments.

Fashion and apparel companies are under significant competitive pressures to design, develop and produce their products faster and more efficiently while ensuring they get the right products to market at the right time and at the right price. The return on investment for best-in-class software applications can be easily justified over time. However, upfront cost often creates obstacles for companies that are starting up or operating on tighter and tighter margins.

Making AccuMark available on a subscription basis eliminates the barrier of up-front costs Gerber said. So companies of all sizes can access the industry’s leading CAD design, grading, marker making and production planning software, making it possible to bring their designs to market faster.

“We are thrilled to announce the introduction of AccuMark offered as a subscription,” said Mary McFadden, executive director, CAD Product Management at Gerber Technology. “With lower up-front costs, companies of all sizes can take advantage of the industry-leading CAD software and enjoy the full functionality of AccuMark with product support.”

One of the challenges in the fashion industry is seasonality. With a three-month renewable subscription to AccuMark, companies can now expand their AccuMark seats without paying for another enterprise seat that is only used for a portion of a year.

“Companies can accommodate seasonal demands and requirements through shorter commitment durations with full access to AccuMark during their subscription,” McFadden said. “This new subscription plan offers expanded accessibility and user flexibility.”

The introduction of AccuMark as a subscription coincides with the release of AccuMark 10.2 that brings along improvements to its 3D capabilities and AccuPlan™. Now, more complex garments can be visualized more accurately thanks to an improved fabric engine that allows for increased material and physics parameters.
