WATTWIL, Switzerland – Saurer Group and Reyes Groupe and announced the sale of the Verdol parts, service and conversion business to the Saurer Business Unit Allma Volkmann.
Allma and Volkmann are worldwide leading machinery brands in all twisting applications, from staple to carpet, tire cord as well as technical and glass yarns. The deal will allow a customer service on an even wider base within the already successful and well organized service network worldwide.
Wolfgang Leupers, CEO of Allma Volkmann, said he is proud that Christophe Reyes, owner of the Reyes Groupe, trusts Allma Volkmann to run their parts and service business and is expecting this to give an additional growth impulse as the synergies of both companies now can be fully utilized. The former Verdol customers will be served
by Allma Volkmann as of immediate effect and preparations have been taken to ensure a smooth transition.
“We always put customers first,” said Leupers. “This means that we are obliged to be prepared from day one.”
Allma Volkmann is also taking over the Verdol customer sales and service team in France to ensure that the persons in charge will remain the same. At the same time the existing Allma Volkmann network for logistics in Europe and the worldwide parts warehouses in all key markets will be utilized.
The deal will make Allma Volkmann the largest provider of original parts and service in the whole twisting segment. Reyes Groupe will further focus on its core business of energy markets (oil and gas, nuclear etc.) and expand into new national and international markets while consolidating its existing positions.
