The American Filtration & Separations Society (AFS) will its annual fall Advanced Filtration Media Conference at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, Tenn., in the Nashville area October 5-8.
The conference will highlight the latest and emerging filtration media and performance applications in filtration and separations. Monday begins with a number of half and full-day short-courses taught by the industry’s who’s who. Topics range from filtration media choices, basics in liquid filtration, basics in air filtration and several others, all located on the conference website here.
The main conference begins Tuesday, continuing Wednesday with a focus of the wide variety of media, with special focus on nonwoven fabrics, woven wire cloth, membranes, woven textiles, etc. The conference has two plenary speakers and a luncheon speaker each day with 70 presentations covering the state-of-the-art presented by a number of the industry’s experts in filtration media and applications. On Thursday a tour of the Avintiv (formerly PGI Nonwovens) Old Hickory facility will follow.
The American Filtration & Separations Society is the largest filtration society in the world and the principal educator of the industry. The society hosts two annual conferences in support of the industry and infrastructure, where filtration, separations and coalescing are an essential factor to the success of American business and education.
