BELMONT, N.C. – A two-day seminar focused exclusively on ring spinning will take place at The Textile Technology Center here September 27-28.
Lenny Furlough, president of BL Consulting and a textile processing consultant, will lead the workshop, which takes place each day from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This workshop will educate the attendee and provide information as to the effect of key fiber properties, processing parameters and manufacturing procedures on optimizing yarn quality and high productivity.
Day 1 will cover fiber properties and sliver prep impact, while Day 2 will focus on roving and ring spinning optimization.
The seminar is free to all North Carolina textile personnel and $185 for those outside the state. For N.C. personnel, fees are being paid for by the N.C. Textile Training Initiative Fund, which includes lecture and course materials, but will not cover a $10 fee for lunch. Non-N.C. personnel fees will cover the lecture, class materials and lunch.
