ATLANTA – Michael Vogel has been appointed as global group director for TenCate Grass, effective September 1, the company announced.

 

As former CEO of Ammeraal Beltech, Vogel successfully implemented a growth strategy leading the company into its next development phase. Furthermore, he has held several other leading positions in internationally operating industrial companies.

 

The head office of TenCate Grass will be located in the Netherlands in order to consolidate the key global functions at one location. This creates a lean organization with an adequate response towards the demands of key end markets globally.

 

Vogel will succeed Guido Vliegen, who currently holds the position of group director. Vliegen will take the responsibility as vice president Americas, to enable the further expansion of the Grass group in this geographical region.

 

The synthetic turf activities of TenCate have been showing growth over the recent years, with an increased emphasis on brand management, innovation and quality. Quality awareness, personal safety and sustainability are increasingly important within the TenCate value proposition.

 

The organization is adapting itself to the increased demands of end users and strategic partners of the group in order to maintain its leading positions in the global synthetic turf market.
