Shima Seiki’s SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system

Featuring Shima Seiki’s original SlideNeedle™ mounted on four needle beds, MACH2XS is the world’s first four-bed machine equipped with Shima Seiki’s original spring-loaded moveable sinker system. The SWG061N2 compact WHOLE GARMENT®

knitting machine also features the SlideNeedle™ and offers great flexibility in producing a variety of accessory items such as gloves, socks, leggings, hats and mufflers as well as childrenswear and even technical textiles.

SHIMA SEIK’s original product, the glove knitting machine, is represented by the latest SFG-I machine in 18G for ultrafine gauge glove production as well as dipping applications.

Demonstrations will also be performed on Shima Seiki’s SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system that is at the core of the company’s “Total Knitting System” concept. With comprehensive support of all aspects throughout the knit supply chain, APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from yarn development, product planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion.

Especially effective is APEX3’s capability to improve on the planning process with Virtual Sampling. Photo-realistic simulation capability minimizes the need for sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost from the sampling process.

On display will be the latest version of Shima Seiki’s “SDS-ONE APEX3” 3D design system. APEX3 is at the core of Shima Seiki’s “Total Fashion System” concept, made possible due to its comprehensive support of the knit apparel production process from planning and production to sales promotion, as well as its capability for Virtual Sampling.

Ultra-realistic simulation capability allows Virtual Sampling to minimize the costly time- and resource-consuming sample-making process. APEX3 also supports design and simulation in a variety of other industries such as circular knitting, weaving, pile weaving and printing. Virtual sampling, along with 3D modeling, 3D mapping and 3D fitting simulation are available for all of these processes as well.

Also on display will be the latest collection of knit samples, including seam-free WHOLEGARMENT® knitwear that is produced in one entire piece and features superior fit, comfort and draping characteristics.
