RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Student members of AATCC, the Association of Textile, Apparel & Materials Professionals, members are invited to showcase their design talents to win cash and recognition by participating in the 2017 Concept 2 Consumer® Student Design Competition.
Under the theme, “Everyday Clothes for Extraordinary Kids,” the competition will challenge students to design a line that redesigns apparel items (leggings, t-shirts, etc.) for children with special needs and/or a disability. This new line should enhance the everyday existence of these children and/or their parents/caregivers. Designers are to draw their color palette inspiration from PANTONEVIEW Colour Planner Summer 2016.
Students can enter the contest individually or work in teams. Complete guidelines for the contest are available online.

1st place earns $1,000, Pantone Cotton Passport, $100 Spoonflower Gift Certificate, $100 with award plaque from Shrimag Creations and Datacolor Spyder 5.

2nd place earns $750, Pantone Cotton Passport, $100 Spoonflower Gift Certificate, $100 with award plaque from Shrimag Creations and Datacolor Spyder 5.

Honorable Mentions (two prizes) each earn $100, $50 Spoonflower Gift Certificate, $25 with award plaque from Shrimag Creations and Datacolor Spyder 5.
Entries are due April 12, 2017. To enter, send a pdf of the poster project to AATCC. Winners will be announced by May 31, 2017.
