HOUSTON – Good reviews of the Techtextil North America (TTNA) and co-located JEC Americas trade shows here continue to come in.
Following are reports by two companies, PA Group and Precision Fabrics Group.
PA Group highlights MES software
PA Group, based in Chattanooga, Tenn., is a Microsoft Dynamics AX and CRM Partner, providing ERP, CRM, MES, and PLM solutions for manufacturing, fashion and retail.
At the show, company reps were able to connect with leaders in the textile, nonwovens and composites industries to share its message of groundbreaking software solutions and the PA Group Business Genius consulting methodology, according to a PA Group member.
“We were very happy with the show and quite surprised at the size of the JEC event,” said Josh Davis, the company’s marketing manager. “Our booth was located on the TTNA side of the hall but I

think we had just as many JEC attendees and exhibitors visiting our booth as we did TTNA attendees and exhibitors. I think the co-located shows such as Texprocess, TTNA and JEC are very beneficial for all involved.”
PA Group highlighted its Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software with a case study its just completed with Phifer, Inc., an insect screening manufacturer that also produces fiberglass coated yarn and drawn wire. More information about the Phifer, Inc. case study is available in its blog, where the full case study can also be downloaded here.
“We had a very high level of interest in our MES software, as well as our Apparel & Textile Industry Accelerator for Dynamics AX, which is Microsoft’s flagship ERP platform,” Davis said.
The company drew large crowds the first two days of the show with drawings for a Microsoft Surface and a Bluetooth speaker. It also gave away free T-shirts and “nerd glasses.”
Precision Fabrics
PA Group reps include (L-R) Davide Guistina, Evan Bissonette, Jonathan Eakes and Josh Davis.
Greensboro, N.C.-based Precision Fabrics was created in 1988 via a leveraged buyout from Burlington Industries and continues as a privately held company today. The company has evolved from a traditional textile company into an engineered materials business, focused on highly technical, high-quality woven and nonwoven fabrics.
“Since we have not participated in a broad show such as this in many years we had interest in several of our products,” said Allen Leonard, the company’s product manager for industrial fabrics.
Both its Peel Ply offerings as well as some of its latest nonwoven fabrics used in acoustical panels were of particular interest, he added.
“The show exceeded our expectations,” Leonard said. “Although traffic was not huge, the quality of the visitors was very good. We will definitely be in Atlanta in 2016 and hope that the two shows continue to co-locate. I personally believe that is critical to their success. It struck me that there were numerous companies that could have easily been on both sides of the show.”
The 13th edition of TTNA will be co-located with Texprocess Americas and JEC Americas May 3-5, 2016 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The shows are expected to attract more than 8,000 visitors, host more than 700 exhibitors and feature two world-class symposiums with more than 20 sessions.
