CARY, N.C. – INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, announced recently at the World of Wipes® International Conference that it is launching a new training course – “WIPES Academy” – that will provide comprehensive training to industry professionals centered on the wipes product and market sector.
The first session will take place October 8-9 at INDA’s headquarters here.
The two-day WIPES Academy will feature training focused on every facet of this important market that garners $6 billion in end-use sales in North America. The course will detail wipes product materials and converting processes, and cover applications and influential issues such as regulations and flushability.
Led by industry expert Rob Johnson of Smith, Johnson & Associates, this educational training will provide insights into raw materials and converting; wet and dry wipes; and medical, industrial, and consumer wipes. Johnson is a renowned industry expert with more than 35 years of nonwovens experience and is actively involved in engineered fabrics technology assessment, materials development, strategic planning and competitive intelligence.
“This new course will be essential for wipes professionals looking to learn about nonwoven substrates, ingredients, packaging, converting and the development and manufacturing of wipes,” said Dave Rousse, INDA’s president. “The WIPES Academy will enhance any wipes professional’s knowledge, and expand their set of options to advance their business prospects.”
