WILMINGTON, Del. – DuPont Protection Technologies announced it plans to sell its global nonwovens business, DuPont™ Sontara®, to Switzerland-based Jacob Holm, a provider of spunlaced nonwoven fabrics.

 

Financial details were not released.

 

Sontara’s products are used in a variety of medical and wipes applications.

 

At closing, Jacob Holm will acquire Sontara assets at DuPont sites in Old Hickory, Tenn.; Asturias, Spain; and about 240 employees worldwide, primarily in Spain and the United States.
