DEARBORN, Mich. – Husband and wife team and Crypton founders Craig and Randy Rubin were recently honored by the Jewish Vocational Service with the JVS Business Leadership Award at the Strictly Business Networking and Awards Luncheon here.

Crypton, creator of performance textiles for the residential, hospitality and commercial markets, was launched in 1993 after a basement brainstorm in the Rubens’ Franklin, Mich. home. The duo’s passion for building Crypton’s brand identity, creating innovative and compelling campaigns and developing technology and products like no other, has established them as industry visionaries. The Rubins were honored for Crypton’s success and continuous innovation, as well as their commitment to their company and staff.

With more than 100 employees between its Bloomfield Hills, Mich. headquarters and its North Carolina manufacturing plant, the company has policies in place for cross-training employees and career advancement. The Rubins promote work/life balance with flextime, provide expanded vacation time, offer education reimbursement and give a quarterly bonus based on company profitability.
