GREENVILLE, S.C. — KENTWOOL, makers of the “World’s Best Golf Sock,” announced that 20-year golf industry veteran and brand-development expert Dan Murphy is the new president of the company.

 

Murphy comes to KENTWOOL from Bridgestone Golf, where he served as executive vice president of Marketing & Sales.

 

Murphy successfully helped build some of the biggest brands in the world of golf. Before joining Bridgestone, where he is credited with leading the ball manufacturer to a number two position in the category, Murphy led marketing efforts at Maxfli, TaylorMade and Dunlop. In his new role at KENTWOOL, Murphy will bring his consumer marketing insights and brand-building expertise to help further establish the Tour Series as the “World’s Best Golf Sock” while growing the brand’s direct-to-consumer business.
