The Southern Textile Research Conference (STRC) will take place June 12-14 at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The theme for the 2016 conference is Sustainability, and the program will cover many perspectives on this topic. Dr. Harold Freeman of N.C. State University will be the keynote speaker.
The conference will feature three other speakers from NCSU: Prof. Richard J. Spontak, Prof. Warren Jasper and Dr. Orlin Velev. Mary Ankeny and Dr. Matt Farrell of Cotton Incorporated will review the latest research on sustainable wet processes for cotton.
Chris Aurich of Gaston Systems will review foam technology. The benefits of recycled polyester will be discussed by Terry Turner from Unifi.
