AAPN to host NW Conference in Seattle
Posted May 30, 2017
ATLANTA – The American Apparel Producers’ Network (AAPN) will host its Northwest Regional Conference on Wednesday, August 23 at The Colombia Tower Club in Seattle.
On hand will be product developers and representatives from sourcing, brands, retailers, factories, suppliers, trim and universities.
AAPN’s regional conferences in Dallas and Los Angeles each drew more than 80 people and were enormously successful in terms of interaction, education and networking, according to AAPN officials. In fact, several attendees even received job offers.
The idea is to reach those people in the industry who work mostly by themselves in remote offices and do not get sent to AAPN’s annual conferences.
Here is the high-level agenda for Seattle:
-
How to improve your career by raising your Apparel IQ;
-
How brands are making their supply chains a competitive advantage, making it the core of their business, real time;
-
Inventory? It’s in the wrong place. An introduction to sourcing from the Americas;
-
How technology, innovation, consumers and politics are changing the future of fashion – online; and
-
How the apparel industry can save civilization – digitalization and e-commerce.
These agenda items are taken directly from AAPN’s Annual Conference this month, attended by 230 execs from 129 organizations.
