LONDONDERRY, N.H. – Klϋber Lubrication, a worldwide manufacturer of specialty lubricants, will highlight its multi-purpose, high-temperature grease and nonylphenol ethorxylates (NPE)-free needle oils in booth #1807 at Techtextil North America.
Klübertemp GR AR 555 is a multi-purpose lubricant offering exceptional corrosion protection and high evaporation stability. Developed for high-temperature applications (up to 250 °C) and applications exposed to aggressive media, Klübertemp GR AR 555 is a white, homogeneous long-term grease based on a perfluorinated polyether oil (PFPE) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Common applications include pillow blocks/bearings, seals, rotary joints and ball bearing chains, as well as circulating fan bearings in various textile machinery. Lubricants based on PFPE and PTFE are inert and generally regarded as neutral towards most elastomers and plastics.
Klüber Lubrication will also showcase Klüber Madol 934 N, an NPE-free oil used to lubricate needles, sinkers, cams, cylinders, dials and sinker rings of large-diameter knitting machinery. The unique oil fulfills the wide-ranging operational requirements found in today’s modern knitting mills and are suitable for applications in circular knitting equipment. Klüber Madol 934 N protects needles from excessive wear, corrosion and rust and is easily washed out under normal scour procedures.
Klüber Madol 190 FG is a food grade approved needle and sinker oil with excellent anti-wear properties. The premium white oil is NSF H1-registered and is formulated to meet the requirements of large and small diameter knitting machinery and flat bed machines. Klüber Madol 190 FG protects needles from rust, corrosion and excessive wear, and is suitable for use in conventional lubrication systems.
Utilizing its in-house laboratories in Germany, China and the United States, and through consultation with customers, suppliers and machinery manufacturers, Klüber Lubrication developed its line of NPE-free needle oils as a safer and successful alternative to conventional NPE-based oils, while retaining the two key properties needed in production – wear protection and ease of oil removal (scourability). Klüber Lubrication also partnered with North Carolina State University’s College of Textiles to conduct independent wash tests under normal scour conditions.
