ROCK HILL, S.C. – SDL Atlas has developed a commercial-grade washing machine that satisfies the AATCC Monograph M6 requirements as specified in the AATCC 135 Test Method.
The top-loading washer has a number of upgrades over the previous washers used to perform all major AATCC home laundering test methods, including TM 135. It is equipped with a controller that allows users to program, select and save wash cycles of their choosing. Upgraded water fill and water temperature controls also improve the accuracy and consistency of this washer. A non-locking lid makes it easier to use. The washer can be fully calibrated to meet ISO 9000 and 17025.
Unlike previous home washers, this machine can be brought back into calibration if it comes out of tolerance for any reason. The SDL Atlas washer is also very robust, having a steel drum and a stainless steel wash basket.
The Monograph M6 compliant commercial washer is expected to be available beginning in July. The washer, when introduced, will be the only one available on the market that meets Monograph M6.
SDL Atlas is committed to providing customers confidence in standard based testing.
