RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) now offers on-site test method training, bringing customized training to the client’s facility.
The client chooses the date, location and test methods. AATCC staff provides hands-on instruction for AATCC test methods, ASTM textile testing methods and related topics.
Class Size: Training programs include lecture, hands-on demonstrations and question/answer sessions. To provide maximum interaction between the AATCC instructor(s) and participants, class size is limited.
Test Methods: Since test methods vary in complexity, the number of methods covered per day will depend on the time required to address each selected method. Approximately eight methods can be addressed in a full day.
Facilities: Client is responsible for arranging space to conduct the training, which includes a room large enough to accommodate all participants and appropriate lab facilities.
Scheduling: AATCC has limited technical staff; therefore, training dates should be requested well in advance (three months minimum notice) to best accommodate the scheduling needs of all parties.
On-site training offers an efficient way to train an entire staff, or simply avoid travel hassles. By training in a familiar lab, participants can ask specific troubleshooting questions and readily apply what they learn. On-site training is also an opportunity to educate lab clients or partners about textile testing.
Further details and fee information can be found on the AATCC website. For training outside the United States, please consider AATCC’s Global Test Method Training.
