ELLERBE, N.C. – Richmond Specialty Yarns, the American branch of Sherbrooke, QC, Canada-based Filspec, Inc. and since 2009, has been renamed Filspec USA, the company announced.
This formalizes and completes the integration of two entities that have been working together for several years. This name change will allow the company to standardize its customer service experience and to simplify the manner in which it communicates, company officials said.
Committed to the American market
“We are strongly committed to continue serving the American market by providing innovative solutions, reliable operations and a level of quality that constitutes the foundation of Filspec’s identity,” said Dominique Quintal, the company’s vice president of Sales and Marketing.
Right now Filspec USA integrates perfectly into the company, confirming both its resolution to fully dedicate itself to this large territory and to consolidate its will to serve the American markets, and the NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) and CAFTA (Dominican Republic-Central America Free Trade Agreement) regions, including programs requiring Berry Amendment compliance, Quintal added.
Filspec will continue to support its investment plan to Filspec USA and its professional team – all this within a perspective of growth in order to be able to meet the changing needs of its clientele at all times, he said.
“Our clients are our priority,” Quintal said. “This is why offering you innovative products and services adapted to your needs is at the heart of our commitment.”
Company manufactures technical yarns
Filspec is a world leader in the manufacture of high-performance technical yarns adapted to the needs of its clients. At its two plants in Canada and the United States, it uses natural, artificial and synthetic fibers, including aramids, to produce a wide variety of compositions and fiber blends to create technical yarns intended for the military, medical, industrial, automotive, aeronautics, worker protection, athletic wear and smart yarn sectors.
The company serves an industrial customer base that includes manufacturers of protective and athletic clothing, gloves, stockings, textiles for the automotive and aeronautics markets, for outdoor furniture, etc. using knitters, weavers, manufacturers of narrow fabrics and ropes, dyeing mills, twisting companies, and sewing thread manufacturers.
