HORGEN, Switzerland – SSM (Schärer Schweiter Mettler) AG has named Peter Spiller as new sales director in Asia, taking over for retiring Horst Lüchinger.

 

Lüchinger spent more than 16 years establishing SSM’s presence in the Far East.

 

Spiller will be responsible for the sales and promotion of the SSM products in the Far Eastern region. SSM is a provider of winding technology in yarn processing operations.

 

Spiller earned a degree in textile engineering from the College of Technology in Rapperswil, Switzerland before joining Sulzer Rüti as design engineer. He later moved into sales, leading to various assignments in the U.S., Japan and South Africa.
