RICHMOND, Va. – Fi-Tech, Inc. and Uwe Gaedike, managing director of Enka Tecnica, have sold Enka Tecnica GmbH to the Reifenhauser Group.
Fi-Tech will continue to serve as Enka Tecnica’s agent for the North American market and Uwe Gaedike will continue on as managing director of Enka Tecnica, the company said.
Enka Tecnica is a world leader in the precision manufacturing of spinnerets for the synthetic fiber and nonwovens industries. Enka Tecnica operates from two manufacturing sites in Groebzig and Heinsberg, Germany. A new site is currently under construction in Halle, Germany to replace the Groebzig Plant and is expected to be in production by this summer.
The Reifenhauser Group, based in Troisdorf, Germany, is a leading manufacturer of components, machinery and production lines for the plastic extrusion of films, nonwovens, monofilaments and strapping tapes. Fi-Tech, Inc, based here, is Reifenhauser’s agent in North America for its Reicofil® subsidiary and is the leading manufacturer’s agent in the U.S. and NAFTA countries for equipment and components for the synthetic fiber, nonwovens and textile industries.

Fi-Tech sells Enka Tecnica to Reifenhauser Group
