WATTWIL, Switzerland – Stefan Kross, a long-time textile senior executive, has joined the Saurer Group’s board of director as a delegate.

 

Kross, who holds a degree in mechanical engineering from RWTH Aachen, has many year of experience in the textile machinery industry, especially with Saurer. He joined the company in 1990 and, after serving in several management positions, was appointed member of the Schlafhorst board, responsible for Winding Systems. In 2004 he took the position as chief technology officer of the Textile Division within Saurer Group.

 

Kross also established Saurer (China) Technology Co. Ltd and was responsible for the startup of Saurer (Jintan) Textile Machinery Co. Ltd. After his tenure with Saurer, he worked for four years as the CEO of Oerlikon Barmag. Since 2012, he was the CEO of Oerlikon Manmade Fiber (Barmag, Neumag). In 2013 he was appointed as the member of executive committee of Oerlikon Group.
