HONG KONG – Gerber Technology, the world leader in integrated software and automation solutions for the apparel and industrial markets, highlighted its integrated digital solutions, including AccuMark®, AccuMark 3D, AccuPlan™ and YuniquePLM®, at PI Apparel in Hong Kong.
Gerber also announced it supported longtime customer Helly Hansen as it discussed its upgrade from webPDM™ to YuniquePLM In The Cloud.
Every year, the fashion and apparel industry spends billions of dollars on sampling. The shipping of these samples back and forth around the globe is not friendly to the planet either. Gerber’s team demonstrated how its AccuMark 2D & 3D software simulates virtual garment samples so realistic that there’s no need for designers to spend the time and money cutting and sewing “real” ones.
Gerber highlighted how combining AccuMark with the company’s YuniquePLM In The Cloud platform enables fashion companies to collaborate and save 30 percent to 50 percent on their sample costs.
Loyal AccuMark and YuniquePLM customer Helly Hansen presented the key business challenges of upgrading from webPDM to YuniquePLM In The Cloud. For more than 10 years, Helly Hansen has used webPDM as the central database for all product information and AccuMark for its technical design and pattern making. Key factors in upgrading to YuniquePLM In The Cloud were to solve communication and inefficiencies across their value chain.
