RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – AATCC’s Spring Committee Meetings will take place May 2-4 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center here.
The meetings promise to be an informative and collaborative event. An impressive display of presentations from professionals within the textile industry are scheduled.
On Tuesday, May 2, Research Committee RA92, Interaction of Dyes and Finishes, will host Charles Poston of Kluber Lubrication North America LP, as he engages the audience with “Needle Oils for Knitting Machinery and Yarns – Choosing the Correct Match for the Yarns You Knit.”
Bryan Dill, Archroma Brand & Performance Textile Specialties, hosted by RA104, Garment Wet Processing, will present “Earth Colors: From Nature to Fashion.”
RA103, Spectroscopic Technologies, will welcome Dr. Keith Beck, to discuss “Chromatography and Extractions for a Textile Laboratory.”
Todd Copeland of Patagonia will address guests and members of RA100, Global Sustainability Technology, on the topic of “Chemical Management in the Supply Chain.”
Presentations will continue Wednesday, May 3. Presentations and topics follow.
Robina Hogan of Frankl & Thomas, hosted by Materials Interest Group, will present, “What Are Composites?”
RA31, Antimicrobial Activity, will host Valerie Fogg, AATCC, to outline the “Method Development Process.”
Ken Greeson, Cotton Inc., will guide members of RA34, Preparation, on “Comparison of Fabric pH and Alkalinity Methods.”
Other committees that have invited speakers include Printing Technology; Applied Dyeing and Characterization of Dyes; Concept to Consumer Interest Group; and Chemical Applications Interest Group.
