RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The 2015 International Conference of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) is slated for March 24-26 at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto in Savannah, Ga.

 

The conference, “IC 2015,” will feature educational tracks, a poster session, the Herman and Myrtle Goldstein Student Paper Competition, networking receptions and the annual Awards Luncheon, where AATCC’s most prestigious honors will be presented. Kantilal "Kanti" A. Jasani will receive the Harold C. Chapin Award, while S. Haig Zeronian will be honored with the Olney Medal. Meanwhile, Sarah Bellos, founder and president of Stony Creek Colors, will be honored with the Young Entrepreneur Award.

 

Kevin Myette, North American director for Bluesign Technologies AG, is the keynote speaker.

Three concurrent tracks reflect the association’s three interest groups: Concept 2 Consumer® (C2C), Chemical Applications and Materials. Sessions in the C2C track will focus on color and lighting, concept innovation, materials development and consumer product interests. The Chemical Applications track will address sustainability in textiles; advances in wet processing, specialty materials, and finishing; and also include the Herman and Myrtle Goldstein Student Paper Competition. Presentations in the Materials track will include medical and protective textiles, sustainable materials and innovative technologies.
