SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Itema America, the wholly owned subsidiary of Italy-based weaving machine supplier Itema, Inc., reported to eTC that it has hired industry veteran Ron Ingram as sales account manager.

Ingram brings 28 years of textile industry experience to the position. He served in the areas of weaving manufacturing, maintenance, procurement and inventory management at Synthetic Industries, Chickamauga, Ga., Lumite (then a division of Synthetic Industries) in Alto, Ga., and Propex Operating Co. in Chattanooga, Tenn. He left the textile industry for 15 months to work with JW Aluminum Co. In Charleston, S.C., before joining Itema America this month.

“We are very pleased and fortunate to have Ron join our team at Itema,“ said Scott Malcolm, Itema America president. “With his strong technical background and extensive contacts in the market, Ron is well suited to handle our key accounts in Georgia and Alabama.“

Ingram, who resides in Chattanooga, Tenn., with his wife Sherry, said he is excited about the opportunity.

“It is an honor to join an organization with such a storied history in the textile industry,“ he said. “Itema has always been a company dedicated to providing a high level of quality and customer service and it is my desire to work with the team at Itema to continue that tradition.”
