RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – AATCC test methods, including all new and revised methods published in 2016, can now be accessed as an online subscription through ASTM’s Compass database.
The “AATCC Collection” is comprised of 123 test methods, 11 procedures and nine monographs, including AATCC’s most popular test methods, such as TM20-2013 Fiber Analysis: Qualitative; TM20A-2014 Fiber Analysis: Quantitative; TM22-2014 Water Repellency: Spray Test; TM61-2013 Colorfastness to Laundering: Accelerated; TM81-2012 pH of the Water-Extract from Wet Processed Textiles; and TM135-2015 Dimensional Changes of Fabrics after Home Laundering.
A subscription gives access to an entire organization and subscribers will be able to access the newest test methods as they become available. The collection currently includes the two newest test methods, Test Method (TM) 205-2016, Carpet: Liquid Penetration by Spillage and TM206-2016, Free and Hydrolyzed Formaldehyde, Determination of Water Extraction Method and 10 newly revised documents.
The AATCC Collection on Compass also includes two additional compilations of technical documents: Concept 2 Consumer® Technical Supplement: A Compilation of Procedures and Guideline, with 26 provisional procedures, and Moisture Management Technical Supplement: Applicable to Apparel, Linens, and Soft Goods, with eight provisional procedures.
Besides the AATCC Collection, companies may subscribe to other content on ASTM Compass, including more than 350 ASTM textiles standards related to apparel and fabric, care labeling, body measurement charts, flammability, and home furnishings. Compass also includes more than 1,400 books, 15,000 journal articles and 47,000 papers, chapters, and articles as well as online training with demonstration videos, checklists, and self-testing, engineering consulting and translations.
