In addition to managing more than 30 industry networking events and conferences, Friedman oversaw the development of the Supply Chain USA pavilion that has become a key destination for attendees to the biennial Texprocess Americas trade show. Her business matchmaking efforts have brought immeasurable value to SEAMS members and sourcing professionals worldwide.

Considering the succession their top priority, the SEAMS board encouraged SEAMS members with interest to submit resumes or refer other industry professionals. Friedman plans to serve as mentor to the new director through the production of the Texprocess Americas pavilion in May and the SEAMS Fall 2016 Networking Conference.

AIKEN, S.C. – After 17 years of dedicated and distinguished service, SEAMS Executive Director Sarah Friedman is making plans to retire this year.

To ensure an effective and smooth succession, Friedman will continue to serve as the fast-growing organization's top staff executive while the board conducts a search for the organization's next director.

The SEAMS board of directors expressed its tremendous gratitude to Friedman for her years of service, strategic vision and leadership.

"Sarah has dedicated 17 years to the development, growth and membership value of SEAMS. In doing so, she impacted countless industry professionals and entrepreneurs," said Jeremy Wootten, SEAMS president and president of HomTex, Inc. "Her unwavering commitment to promoting the made in the USA movement has greatly enhanced the sewn products industry. We congratulate Sarah and wish her great joy in her coming retirement."
