ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Sweden-based Eton Systems, a global supplier of customized material-handling solutions for the automotive, home textile, apparel, furniture and plastics industries, announced that it will make a greater investment in the American market.

With high labor costs and a growing demand for stringent quality control and faster delivery to market, Eton’s state-of-the-art technology has gained a lot of ground in the major growth markets of the world. Over the past number of years, Eton Systems has had numerously successful installations in a variety of sectors in the textile market, and it said it is now ready to leverage that success in America.

During the last few years, Eton Systems has been represented by independent sales agents serving its North American customers. From the first quarter of this year, Eton Systems said it will handle all sales-related activities through its U.S. headquarters here in order to increase the presence and become an even better partner to a growing American industry.

The investment plan is ambitious and comprehensive, especially with the next generation of Eton technology just around the corner, according to the company. For that reason, Eton Systems is currently looking to expand its staff for various positions, including putting together a new sales team, after-sales support staff and education and training personnel, along with a re-enforcement of the existing finance department.

Alex Vega, who is responsible for realizing this venture, has broad international experience of starting and successfully managing new branches in global enterprises. Most recently, he served as managing director and international sales director for Easton-Bell Sports Europe.

”Of course, we see many advantages being closer to our customers and having a direct overview of the operations,” Vega said. “It allows us to be more flexible and optimize delivery precision, thus providing a whole new service level to our current and new customers.”

Eton’s material-handling solutions help customers in manufacturing industries increase productivity, profitability and improve the workplace environment.
