ITMA: One for the (order) books, say more exhibitors
At ITMA, all three Rieter business groups showed their product and service innovations for complete systems, spinning preparation and end spinning process under their trademarks Rieter, Bräcker, Graf, Novibra and Suessen.
Internet usage for optimizing the entire system, new machine generations for preparatory and end spinning as well as corresponding spare parts, after sales services and solutions for the optimal use of the spinning mill along the entire product life cycle was shown.
Among highlights was the extended SPIDERweb Mill Control System.

Saurer touts its E3 concept
At ITMA, Saurer demonstrated its E3 concept – the triple added-value (energy, economics, ergonomics) that has been the guideline for the company's innovation process.
Saurer Group revealed all new E3 labeled machinery with the triple added-value for customers and will showcased new standards in energy savings, production flexibility, highest productivity and the most complete automation processes.
Exclusive new features to improve fabric quality have been introduced in a special version of the USTER® QUANTUM 3 yarn clearer. Launched at ITMA 2015, the USTER® QUANTUM 3 Anniversary Edition celebrates 50 years of yarn clearing on automatic winders. Only 300,000 of the new clearers are available, on a first-come, first-served basis from November.
In line with the continuing global trend for higher quality, the USTER® QUANTUM 3 Anniversary Edition includes extra defect classes, correlated to the USTER® CLASSIMAT 5.

Saurer Schlafhorst said representatives of its Rotor Spinning product line are “highly satisfied” with ITMA.
The new Autocoro 9 rotor spinning machine and the innovations on the BD 6 was met with good response from the industry, which currently attaches a high priority to maximum energy efficiency, the company said. The new E3 strategy with triple added value in the spheres of energy, economics and ergonomics proved convincing, according to Schlafhorst. With energy savings of up to 25 percent, the Autocoro 9 set a new standard for economic efficiency, Schlafhorst said.

Bombi demoes waste recycling for nonwovens use
Bombi Meccanica of Florence, Italy, showed its range of continuous presses, ovens, cross-cutters, slitters, calendars and mixers at ITMA.
During eTC’s visit to the stand, co-owner Tancredi Bombi and Frank Levy of representative Stellamcor, Inc. of Quogue-N.Y. showed examples highly dense, slick nonwoven samples produced by a new continuous press from waste materials.
