HANNOVER, Germany and CHICAGO – Attendees of the upcoming DOMOTEX, the largest international trade fair for carpets and floor coverings, will experience the latest floor covering products from across the globe. Thought leaders in the industry also will discuss exciting new technologies in floor covering solutions that offer a variety of commercial and residential applications.

 

The show, which will run January 16-19 in Hannover, Germany, is expected to attract 1,400 exhibitors from 60 countries.

 

One flagship exhibitor of a breakthrough carpet fiber solution is DuPont. The company will be showcasing its 2015 Bio Business Award-winning DuPont™ Sorona® biopolymer, a sustainably sourced, high-performance fiber that contains 37 percent renewable plant-based ingredients. When utilized in the production of commercial and residential carpets, DuPont™ Sorona® is establishing new standards for durable, soft, stain-resistant carpets that offer a compelling alternative to wool or nylon.

 

During the trade show, DuPont demonstrate DuPont™ Sorona® in its exhibition space in Hall 6, Booth G07. On Monday, January 18 from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Innovations@DOMOTEX area in Hall 6, Hao Ding, Business Development and Technical Sales manager for DuPont Biomaterials, will present an overview of the DuPont™ Sorona® technology. He will discuss the many ways that commercial and residential carpet manufacturers are utilizing this unique fiber.

Ding is located in DuPont’s Netherlands office and is responsible for the technical success of DuPont™ Sorona®. He joined DuPont with more than 12 years of petrochemical experience and serves as the primary DuPont contact for fiber and carpet accounts across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
